Aquarium Design and Fishes...

Like my dad, I love animals. What type of animals? Well, practically all of them, dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, fishes, etc...When I was still in primary, my dad used to have 5 dogs, 3 German Shepherd and 2 Miniature Pinsher...As for me, i kept 2 tortoises during that time. As years go by, pets that we kept also kept on changing, from large size dogs to smaller size dogs, from 4 legged pets to non-legged pets, and currently we have a dog (Daschund), a sugar glider and few fishes. Anyway, this post will be entirely on aquarium and fishes. Me and my dad loves to rare fishes, we used to kept a few varieties of fish during my primary day, we had Flower Horn, Arowana, Guppies, Goldfishs ,Koi (Carp) and Bettas. It was a trend back then and we were addicted to it, till now. Thanks to my dad, its an addiction for me to keep on getting pets. Currently, I'm mostly interested in Decorated Aquarium or also known as Aquascaping. What is Aquascaping? It the craft of arranging aquatic plants, as well as rocks, stones cavework, or driftwood, in an aesthetically pleasing manner within an aquarium-in effect, gardening under water. Here are some examples:

Happy Father's Day

My Miracle Dad
I know that I'm not perfect, and I'm sure you know that to,
But it means the world to know, that I can always talk to you,
I am sure you didn't expect all this, when you took me in to stay,
But you still loved me enough, that you did it anyway,
You always seemed so calm, when deep down you were so scared,
And no matter how serious it was, you always seemed prepared,
I know I'm lucky to have you here, after all that you've been through,
And no matter what just happened, I can always say I Love You...
You can always can forgive me, even when times get bad,
And I'll love you till the day I die, because you are My Miracle Dad!

Trip To Pulau Tioman

I had a trip to Pulau Tioman for 4 Days and 3 Nights. The purpose of this trip is actually for a group project for Popular Culture. The mission was that, we travel there with our group member and interview backpackers/flashpackers. So, instead of telling a story here, i'm just gonna do it in a time line/date style.

Friday 31st May 2013

I've departed from my house to the Bandar Tasik Selatan Bus Station and took the 9am bus to Mersing Jetty. It was a tiring yet mentally strained journey as it took 5 hours to reach the jetty itself. Once we reached the bus station at Mersing, it was time for us to find the jetty. As we were at the bus station, the jetty was nowhere to be found. It took us at least 30 minutes to find it, and it was the other side of the bus station. From there, we bought our ferry ticket and waited for at least 20 minutes for the next ferry and it was already 3pm at that time. The ferry ride took at least 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the island. Since it was getting late, we decided that we rest and had our dinner and only continue our project the next day.

Saturday 1st June 2013

Its finally the day for us to find backpacker and we set our goal to find them and complete it within 3 hours. Without wasting any time, we quickly get ready and head straight for our breakfast. After breakfast, it was already 10am and that was where our journey began. We took a 10.30 ferry and it wasn't cheap, it cost us RM50 to travel to another jetty. The reason why we travel to another place was that, our place that we stayed, doesn't have any backpackers at all, it mostly have family or just tourists. So, we decided to head straight to the backpackers Heaven, and that place is known as ABC or in long term, Ayer Batang Village. Once we arrived, we noticed there were many backpackers at ABC, so without wasting any time, we quickly get a few backpackers and interviewed them. It took us at least 2 hours to complete our task, and we managed to get 7 backpackers. It was fund yet tiring as we need to hunt down backpackers and interviewed them. After that, we decided to had our lunch at ABC before heading back to our chalet. After lunch, we straight headed to the jetty and waited for a ferry, but sadly, not a single ferry was heading to our jetty So, we decided to take a cab boat, and it cost us RM80 per person. To our shock, the cab boat was actually just a normal small fishing boat, but we had no choice but to sat on it. Even though it was expensive, but it was a experience that we never had. It was FUN yet we enjoyed it. After 45 minutes of riding in that small fishing boat, we arrived back at our staying place, before we head back to our room, we decided that since we had nothing to do, mind as well we enjoyed the beach. So yeah, we changed into our swim wear and just jump into the water. We stayed there until it was dinner time. Right after dinner, we took a short rest and decided to sleep early. As tomorrow we had another plan, and it was Snorkelling.

Sunday 2nd June 2013

Well, nothing for today, mostly the whole day we went for snorkelling. It was a fun yet new experience for all of us. But I got a little sea sick and that was mostly it for that day. Snorkelling took half of our day, well the remaining half is that we just rest after that.

Monday 3rd June 2013

IT was the last day for us, and it was time for us to get back. Our ferry back time was actually 11.30, and it was stated on our ticket. So, we woke up early and decided to pack our things and then only head for our breakfast. We had at least 4 hours to spare as it was only 8.30am. So, we decided to rest a while in the room, and then check out at 9.30am. As, the time reaches 11.30, we straight away headed to the jetty and waited. Same thing as coming here, it took at least 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the mainland. From there, it was another 10 minutes as we already knew where the bus station located and at 6pm, we left and heading back to KL. Instead of 5 hours bus journey, it was 6 hours as the bus driver decided to have a 1 hour pit stop so that he could had his dinner. We reached Bandar Tasik Selatan Bus Station at around 12.30am and we were all dead tired as we drag ourselves out of the bus while carrying our heavy backpacks.

Overall of the trip was fun yet tiring as we had alot of activities everyday.
